Scoresby Primary School has joined schools around Australia for Music Count Us In, an initiative to promote the importance of music education. For Music Count Us In, a song is written, recorded and arrangements developed for everything from school choirs to concert bands. Organiser Tina Broad, of the Music Council of Australia, said learning music had many positive impacts on children and adolescents including improvements in team skills and self-esteem.
